Kristján Steinn Kristjánsson is an Icelandic multidisciplinary artist and musician based in The Hague. His work primarily focuses on the sensation of sound and experience.
He transforms instruments into hybrids and modifies ordinary household items into playable instruments.
The source of his material is usually sound or something that produces sound, which he takes out of context and sculpts into a new reality. Resaulting in new (sound and space) experiences.
Sound and spatial installation composed of and with springs from mattresses.
I explore my own habbits and experiences of doing nothing and how it has benefited my artistic practice and general well being.
